How it works

Six moments, not six thousand attendees.

MeetWho isn't a directory or another chat app. It's a loop: discover the people worth meeting, understand why, request an intro, meet in person, remember what mattered, follow up. Here's what actually happens at each step.

The three phases

MeetWho works before, during and after the event.

Most event apps only exist for a few hours on one day. MeetWho covers the whole arc — from the moment you RSVP to the follow-up you send three weeks later.

Before the event

Walk in already knowing who to find.

Set what you're working on and what you need. MeetWho pre-ranks the room and hands you a shortlist with reasons — before you even leave the house.

  • Base profile once, event-specific intent per RSVP.
  • Ranked Who to Meet list with a written why.
  • Intro requests you can send ahead of time.
During the event

Meet in person, log the moment.

Scan each other's QR at the venue and MeetWho records the encounter on both sides — no manual saving, no forgotten names, no lost cards.

  • One QR, event-aware context on the other side.
  • Instant mutual match — no lopsided saves.
  • Right-place, right-time nudges in the app.
After the event

Remember what mattered. Follow up on time.

Every conversation becomes relationship memory: private notes, tags, what you discussed, when to circle back. Not another cold contact list.

  • Private notes bound to each person.
  • Tags like Potential Partner, Follow up, Investor.
  • Reminders — tomorrow, next week, next month.
The MeetWho loop

Six steps. One relationship at a time.

Every screen in the product exists to push you from Discover to Follow up. If it doesn't serve the loop, it doesn't ship.

01

Discover

Open MeetWho and see a ranked shortlist of the people worth your time — not a flat attendee dump.

02

Understand why

Every recommendation explains the shared goal, complementary skill and mutual context. No mystery percentages.

03

Request an intro

Send a short, capped message before a connection opens. Both people opt in — no cold DMs.

04

Meet in person

Scan each other's QR at the venue. MeetWho logs the encounter on both sides automatically.

05

Remember

Save private notes, tags and what you discussed. The relationship, not just the name.

06

Follow up

Gentle nudges when a connection is worth reviving — tomorrow, next week, on your terms.

The mechanics

How the product actually behaves.

The features that turn the loop into something you can use tomorrow at a real event.

Intent per event

One profile, different reasons to be in the room.

Your MeetWho identity stays the same. For each event, add what you're looking for and what you can help with — the recommendation engine adapts to that context.

Why-Meet card

A written reason, not a match score.

Every suggestion comes with mutual value, shared interests and a good place to start the conversation. Qualitative labels — Strong fit, Complementary goals — not fake precision.

Gated messaging

One short intro request. Then a real conversation.

Before you connect, you can send exactly one short message. Once accepted, threads open with the shared context pinned on top — you'll always remember why you met.

QR encounters

In-person moments logged automatically.

Scan a QR at the venue and MeetWho records a mutual met encounter on both sides. Non-MeetWho cards can be saved too — vCard, photo, or manual entry.

Relationship memory

Where you met, why, what you talked about.

Every connection has private notes, tags and a follow-up timer. Not a static contact card — a living memory of the relationship, only visible to you.

Follow-ups that respect you

Notifications tied to real people, not vanity metrics.

You'll never get pinged because someone glanced at your profile. You'll only get nudged when a conversation is worth continuing — and you set the cadence.

A walkthrough

What a single MeetWho day actually looks like.

One evening, one event, six moments. Here's how it lands in the app.

Monday · 14:20

You RSVP to Product Builders Istanbul.

MeetWho asks: what are you looking for at this event? You pick Distribution partners and Early-stage investors.

Tuesday · 09:15

5 people worth meeting appear.

Sarah Chen — Founder at Connectly. Strong fit. She's looking for a rapid product partner. You have exactly that.

Tuesday · 09:17

You send a 240-character intro.

A single short message before a connection opens. Sarah accepts within the hour. The thread opens with your shared context pinned on top.

Wednesday · 19:45

You meet at Networking Area B.

Both phones scan. MeetWho logs a mutual Met at Product Builders Istanbul on both sides — no manual saving, no forgotten name.

Wednesday · 22:10

You add a private note.

'Launching Connectly in Turkey in September. Interested in a marketplace partnership.' Tags: Potential Partner, Community, SaaS.

Next Wednesday · 09:00

Follow up with Sarah.

A gentle nudge — a week later, with your shared context and next step already loaded. You send the message. The relationship compounds.

Frequently asked

Common questions.

If you're still deciding whether MeetWho fits how you actually work.

Do I have to create a profile for every event?

No. You have one base MeetWho profile. For each event you attend, you add lightweight event intent — what you're looking for and what you can help with in that specific room.

How are recommendations ranked?

By complementary goals, mutual value and shared interests — not by follower counts or engagement metrics. Every card explains the reasoning in plain language.

Can I message anyone?

Not by default. Before a connection you can send exactly one short intro request. After it's accepted, threads open with the shared context pinned to the top.

Who can see my profile?

Every user has a public profile at meetwho.app/@username. Contact details, private notes, saved people, calendar and messages are hidden by default — you choose what to expose.

Does MeetWho work without an event?

Yes — your profile, network, notes and follow-ups work year-round. Events are just the venue where new connections happen most efficiently.

What happens after the event?

That's the point. Notes, tags, follow-ups and the shared context stay in your Network forever. MeetWho becomes the memory of every professional relationship you build.
