Is my profile visible to everyone?
No. Networking is opt-in per event. You choose whether you appear in recommendations for that event, and you can turn yourself off at any time.
Can people message me without permission?
No. Introductions are request-based and must carry a reason. If you don't accept, no conversation starts.
How are recommendations decided?
From the professional context you and the other person chose to share — your event goals, what you can help with, and the event itself. Every suggestion shows the reason behind it.
Do you read my private notes or messages?
Private notes and message content are never used to rank or recommend people. Notes are visible only to you.
Does the organizer see my data?
Organizers see aggregate networking activity for their event, not your private notes, messages or a scraped contact list.
Does it work if the event isn't hosted on MeetWho?
Yes. You can bring your MeetWho profile to an event that uses another ticketing tool, as long as the organizer turned networking on for it.
What does it cost?
Creating your profile and using event networking is free. MeetWho Plus adds extras for people who attend and follow up constantly.
Does paying put me higher in other people's recommendations?
No. Position is never for sale. Plus adds preparation, continuity and reasoning depth — it does not change how you rank for anyone else.
What happens if fewer than five relevant people opted in?
