Both. Organisers create the event and set the networking context. Attendees choose whether to join networking, share event-specific goals and decide who they want to connect with. Both sides use the same event; their private data and permissions remain separate.
Does joining an event automatically make me visible for networking?+
No. Event registration and event networking are separate choices. You can join the event without opting in to people recommendations, and you can revoke networking permission for that event later.
What does MeetWho use to make recommendations?+
MeetWho uses the event goals and professional profile fields people choose to share for that event. Private notes, private messages and protected personal attributes are not used. Each recommendation shows the context behind it.
Can anyone message anyone?+
No open inbox is required. Someone may send one short, contextual introduction request. Full messaging and contact exchange begin only after both people accept. You can dismiss, block or report at any time.
What can an organiser see?+
Organisers can see the registration data needed to run their event and aggregate networking outcomes. They do not see private notes, private messages or an attendee's individual recommendation feedback.
What happens if there are not enough relevant people yet?+
MeetWho shows an honest coverage state instead of filling the list with weak recommendations. You can add another goal or return as more attendees opt in.
What stays after the event?+
Accepted connections can keep the event source, the reason you connected and the next step. Your private notes stay in your own workspace and follow the retention and deletion choices shown in settings.
Do I need LinkedIn, a calendar connection or an app?+
No. Each one is optional. MeetWho explains the exact access requested before you connect an external account, and the core event and networking flows work on the web.
